Asheville North Carolina gas shortage
Update—-9/29
The situation has improved somewhat in the Asheville area, not as many gaslines as there were and they are somewhat shorter. (In fact I saw places over the weekend had settled back to NO lines.) Some stations are still lacking fuel entirely though and this news story suggests the southeast could see further gas shortfalls over the next two weeks.

The southeast in general and Asheville, North Carolina in particular has had some remarkable gas shortages in the last several days. I’ve put together some links and information for those that are looking to buy gas in the Asheville, NC area and those that are out of gas and just want to take some time to read about the situation.
Below I have some listings of prices and availability of gas in and around the Asheville area even into Madison and Henderson Counties. I’ve tried to group the listings by the part of the county (or counties) the towns are in. Below that there is a link to a good page at the Citizen-Times that they are supplementing information on who has gasoline currently. Following THAT is a place where YOU can report price and availability that you’ve seen. At the bottom of the page are some news feed stories about the Asheville Gas Shortage.
